The number of degrees of longitude that separate New York City and Reno, Nevada is 120 – 75 = 45 degrees of longitude. The time difference can be calculated by dividing it by 15 degrees because for every 15 degrees there is 1 hr difference. 45 / 15 = 3 hr difference

Answer:

New York City is located at coordinates 40° 39′ 40″ north latitude and 73° 56′ 38″ west longitude. Its time zone is the Eastern Time Zone (UTC -5).

In turn, Reno, Nevada, is located at coordinates 39° 31′ 38″ N and 119° 49′ 19″ W. Its time zone is the Pacific Time Zone (UTC -8).

As we can see, between Reno and New York there is a time difference of 3 hours: if in Reno it is 2:00 pm, in New York it will be 5:00 pm at the same time.

This is explained by the longitudinal difference between both cities: there are 45º 52 '41' 'degrees of difference between both cities.

Jared is using a 100 ft rope to set up a kite-shaped area for food vendors. He has started roping off the area as shown below, a
Assoli18 [71]

Answer:

The answer is below

Explanation:

A kite is a quadrilateral (has four sides and four angles) with two pairs of congruent adjacent sides.

From the image we can see that one pair of congruent side has be formed with a length of 30 feet. Therefore the amount of rope that has been used is 60 feet and 40 feet (100 - 60) of rope would be remaining to complete the kite. Hence 40 feet of rope would be used to make the other pair of adjacent side.

This means that the remaining pair of adjacent side would be 20 feet each so that all the roe would be used.
