There are numerous reasons for this. The city is beautiful and was abandoned and discovered empty without any reason discovered, which increases its mysticism and mysteriousness. Numerous secrets are also located and the scientists even have different theories as to how it was built.

Which situation best illustrates an effect of the law of demand?
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

The correct answer is D. The situation that best illustrates an effect of the law of demand is that a theater sells more popcorn after it lowers the price of popcorn.

Explanation:

The law of supply and demand is the fundamental pillar of capitalist economic theory. This theory establishes that the demand for a good or service will be determined by its price, while the higher the price, the more restrictive its access will be and therefore the lower its demand; while on the contrary, the lower the price, the higher the demand, as it will be more accessible. Therefore, the fact that the theater lowers the price of its popcorn and consequently increases its sales is a clear example of the operation of this law.

a great democracy has got to be progressive or it will soon cease to be great or a democracy.

Ideally, the foundations of democracy should be derived from the people. The people--as a collective entity--is always changing. That's in a general sense. America as a full fledged democracy is arguable just because we elect representatives to choose further up the food chain. On the other hand, that can be considered democracy in play in itself.

An example of progress in democracy, formerly marginalized people would add into the collective people.

The more input, the greater the people beneifited, the more impact, the greater the society.

Where would a Tejana woman in the 1830s get her clothing?
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

Women in the 1830s wore full or ankle length one-piece dresses of wool, silk or cotton.

Explanation:

Women in the 1830s wore full or ankle length one-piece dresses of wool, silk or cotton.

Simple day dresses for house and farm work opened down the front to the waist, (the better to serve the needs of the nursing infant.) They were pinned closed, or fastened with hooks and eyes closely set.

The sleeves were usually long; the fashion of the 1830s had most of the fullness very high early in the decade, lower in the arm as the '30s progressed. Skirts were very full, either pleated or gathered onto the bodice. The waist was slightly higher than natural waistline. Necklines were generally modest, although lower cut was considered appropriate for festive evening or party wear. A fichu, modesty ruffle, or lace was usually worn on lower-cut necklines.

Day dresses had several removable collars and capelets which were worn in layers over the shoulders. These "pelerines" often matched the fabric of the dresses, or were of sheer white linen or cotton. Sometimes they were elaborately embroidered. Day dresses were apt to be made of serviceable dark color – especially winter garments.
