<u>Shays rebellion took place against debt crisis which was increasing among citizens and state government’s increased efforts in order to collect taxes on both individuals and their trades.</u>The period of Shay’s Rebellion was between 1786 and 1787. American revolutionary war veteran Daniel Shays led around four thousand rebels who went against all the wrongdoings and injusticesthat were taking place against civil rights of people. In year 1787, these rebels matched towards United States ‘Springfield Armoy but that was an unsuccessful attempt. They made this effort to seize their weaponry and overthrow the government. The federal government was not having the funds to take down the rebel army so because of this very reason this rebellion was put down by Massachusetts state military and also was funded by some local militia. <u>The federalists had this view that Articles of Confederation needed to be look again and reformations were required. </u>This rebellion also served as a medium for convention of the constitution. National leaders were encouraged by Shay’s Rebellion in order to look for the alternatives with regards to Articles of Confederation.
