I would say the three things here that inspired the Latin American revolutionaries like Simon Bolivar in Venezuela and Colombia and Bernardo O'Higgins in Chile were the concept of equality of men, successful revolutions in other countries like the fledgling US against the colonial power Great Britain, and the publication of the Social Contract by Jean Jacques Rousseau.
