-Herbaceous plants and small shrubs enter the area.
-Pioneer species, such as lichen and moss enter soil-less area.

Ecological succession refers to the slow procedure by which ecosystems modify and establish with time. The habitats get changed continuously and nothing remains similar. There are two main kinds of succession, that is, primary and secondary.

In the given case, the following will be the order of ecological succession:

1. The first step would be the entry of the pioneer species like moss and lichen to the soil-less area.

2. The entered pioneer species dissociate down the rocks present to produce soil.

3. The third step would be the presentation of the small shrubs and herbaceous plants into the region.

4. After that grass species would invade the region.

5. Later after that small trees and evergreens become established.

6. In the end, the climax community of the species of the hardwood trees becomes established.

A stream of water holds thriving bacteria. If drought conditions caused the stream to dry up, how would the bacteria mostly like
Alexeev081 [22]

The answer is they produce endospores.

Explanation:

The endospores are dormant, non-reproductive, tough bacterial spores that ensure the survival of bacteria in adverse conditions.

During the environmental stress, such as starvation, desiccation, radiation and chemical treatment many bacteria form dormant endospores. These endospores germinate again when the conditions become favorable.

Hence, if drought conditions lead the stream to dry up, the bacteria that live there would produce endospores to survive.

The graph represents velocity vs. time for Carla. A graph with horizontal axis time (seconds) and vertical axis velocity (meters
kherson [118]

Answer:

The statement that best describes the graph is Carla slowed down in the beginning of her trip, stopped, and then sped up.

Explanation:

Data:

Horizontal axis = time.

Vertical axis = velocity (m/s).

A line runs in straight segments

 • from 0 seconds 15 m/s.
 • to 1 seconds 13 m/s.
 • to 2 seconds 10 m/s.
 • to 3 seconds 4 m/s.
 • to 4 seconds 0 m/s.
 • to 6 seconds 4 m/s.

According to the data present in the graph, it can be seen that Carla starts with a speed in her career, which decreases over time. After four seconds she stops, remains stopped for one second and starts running again, with an initial speed of 4 m/s.

In conclusion, the graph show Carla -who is moving- slows down until she stops, and then starts the race again.

¿Cómo es posible que se hayan encontrado antiguos sedimentos glaciares en zonas como la India situada junto al ecuador?
Lana71 [14]
