According to google translator apartheid is " (in South Africa) a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race" so after all the National Party in South Africa got the power, all White government suddenly start forcing policies of racial segregation in the worst system apartheid, moreover, the system was discrimination against the Black society that was existed in South Africa between 1948 and 1994 . According to Wiki the "economic legacy and generational effects of apartheid continue to this day."It was like master and slave way of living, in which the master gets the most benefits and the slave works hard to get a small amount of wage or money to survive in hardship.

what are the chief steps leading to the definition of history given in the paragraph beginning “This line of reasoning...” Why n
MAVERICK [17]

A definition of history in a dictionary would say something along the lines of:

History:

1. The branch of knowledge dealing with past events.

2. A continuous, systematic telling of past events.

<em>(Wordreference) </em>

If, when defining history, we were to only look up a definition in a dictionary, we would have a simplistic view of what this branch of study does. History is definitely concerned with telling past events. However, this information is often incomplete, contradictory, too abundant, too unclear or inexistent. Even when information is readily available, the source of information can never be perfect because of problems that are inherent in recording events, such as perspective, or bias.

The task of historians, then, is to try to be as precise as possible without adding information they cannot be sure about. They also have to draw their own conclusions when there is not enough definite evidence. This is what the paragraph refers to as an argument, because of the interplay of evidence and conclusion.

Therefore, because of all the inherent problems in interpretation, the thing that historians can control the most is the method, or the “way of reading and writing about events of the past.” If, during interpretation, historians make use of a systematic, professional set of rules to interpret, they can be more confident in their conclusions. This set of rules is what people have to master if they desire to become historians.

What generalizations can you make about Byzantine art from this mosaic?
insens350 [35]

Answer : It is quite difficult to answer the question without looking at which specific art has to be considered. But few generalizations can be made from Byzantine art from his mosaics.

1) They are illustrative. Byzantine artists would paint to show a person or an event. Typically, a saint, or a bible story, or perhaps an important event associated with an Emperor.

2) The pictures are usually stylized, with standard form and imagery. If considering a picture of a saint, there will be certain standard images and symbols associated with that saint so anyone looking at it. Their status will be shown by haloes, there will be objects or signs next to them, and the picture will have a use. Either it is to aid worship, or teach a story or - another type of Byzantine art - may even show a map.

Napoleon’s rule made Europeans love France and ended any desire they had to rule themselves. It deprived them of a unified code
Tems11 [23]
False. Napoleon's reign was somewhat of a dictatorship/ monarchy, rather than the republic the French were hoping for, but he did create a unified code of law (The Napoleonic Code)

What happened after both the munich and atlanta olympic terrorist disturbances?
umka21 [38]
Nothing, the Olympic games continued manifesting. In the first case there was a reaction but it was decided to keep them going and that it would be a response to show that they are not afraid. The Atlanta disturbance was about there being a stolen gold medal, not that much about terrorism.
