I personally would sacrifice my time to, A) Play some games he/she can play to show that I care about his/her injury, while letting him/her heal properly for more fun!

My answer would be A) Play some games that your friend can do. You wouldn't want to leave your friend and find someone else, you would want to stick with them. You COULD encourage your friend to sit and watch, but if there's games and such that he can participate in, try those out.
