The "la" is fine. Its fine with any of the two. But when using the verb "bailar" maybe try it with another sentence like... "Me gusta bailar en my cuarto" (I like to dance in my room.)

When getting the direct translation to your answer, it's says "I like visiting (the) movies." If what you were trying to say was "i like watching movies." Then again, you should change the verb.
