The correct answer is - Increased confidence in human potential and individual worth encouraged ideas independent of traditional church teachings.
Most of the people were still religious in this period, and in fact the biggest portion of the scientists in this period were close to the church, but it became very obvious that lots of things are very wrong, so people that had enough potential, money and power, that believed that things are way different then the ones depicted in the Bible, started making experiments and new discoveries. This was mostly going on in secret because the church did not approved it and was still too powerful. But some of those science minded, courageous and determined people managed to break the ice and set the basics for the future generations.

nikitadnepr [17]

The physical environment is the part of the environment made up of both man-made and natural features. They consist of some physical factors like water, soil, e.t.c. Mountains, rivers, valleys, hills, dams, lakes all makes up the physical aspect of our environment and much more.

The physical environment can limit human activities in the following ways:

  1. Barriers to communication and transportation: most times roads have to be cut through longer distances in order to bypass natural features like a huge mountains, a voluminous river e.t.c. This can severely impact the communication between places and people.
  2. Natural disasters: The physical environment can pose serious risk to humans through disasters such as earthquake, landslide, flooding, wildfires, e.t.c.
  3. Drought and famine: When several elements of the physical environment combines, they can lead to little to no rainfall for plant to thrive. This is very dangerous for life on earth. Human activities are connected a lot to how rich and useful a soil can be.
  4. Climate changes and global warming: Human activities are greatly impacted by changes in climate and weather. If too much rainfalls, it becomes a problem to farmers and human activities as a whole will suffer. If sunshine diminishes abnormally, the earth suffers as solar radiation is very key to life on earth.

kogti [31]

Answer:

New Orleans, LA (2 m below sea level)

Explanation:

In this examples, we can see that the places with the highest altitude (meters above sea level) are also the places with the lowest atmospheric pressure. Therefore, we can conclude that the opposite is true too. The places with the lowest altitude are the ones with the highest atmospheric pressure. The place with the lowest altitude is New Orleans, as it is located 2 m below sea level.
