(Not my work) Answer: Progressive America was a turbulent world in which greed and corruption ruled. In this context many middle-class reformers came together to make the US a better place. While many historians would argue that the Progressive Movement was highly successful in combating the injustices of their time, the evidence will demonstrate that they fell short of meeting their own reform goals.

Rufina [12.5K]
Answer:

A and D.

Explanation:

The Congress of Vienna was an international meeting held in Vienna aimed to restore peace and structure in Europe. The meeting was held from November 1814 to June 1815. The Great Powers (Great Britain, Russia, Prussia, and Austria) came together to plan for the postwar world. After the end of Napoleon war, the Great Powers started making decisions on how to restore the power and monarchy that were overthrown by Napoleon.
The two statements that describes the effect of the Congress of Vienna are A and D.

Balance of power is a political theory according to which military support were distributed as such that no state becomes stronger than other. In case if one state becomes stronger and threaten other countries then those weak nations were given power to unite against the stronger one.

For what primary purpose did the Spanish enslave many American Indians?
BaLLatris [955]
When Columbus discovered the New World, he was in need of more money to continue his explorations. He captured many slaves and sold them in Spain. Enslavement was viewed to be good for the country's economy. Labor was gotten for free. When more Spanish conquerors went to America, many American Indians were used to carry their shipments back and forth their territory and ships. The Spaniards justified their actions by saying that the Indians were cannibals and deserved to be punished through enslavement.
