Both, nationalism and Islamism, were ways that were used by the authorities of the newly formed countries for unification and strengthening the position of the nation, and the politicians as well.

Nationalism was based on ethnic level, and it was a way of creating despise, revolt, anger, towards the other nations. It was used as a unification method and for creating a nationalist core, and in this way the authorities were able to create a large mass of people that were willing to fight for their own nation, and had a deep hatred towards the other nations.

Islamism was based on religious level, and it was promoting unification on religious basis, but was also creating lots of hatred and aggression towards other religions. In this way, the authorities were trying to create a strong religious core in the country, but also brotherly alliances with the countries that practice the same religion.

Both, nationalism and Islamism were terrible towards the minorities, and the nationalist were killing and committing genocides on ethnic level, while the Islamist were doing the same but on religious level.

Answer:

Nationalism and Islamism were two values that emerged in the Middle East after World War I (WWI). Nationalism takes place when people are unified as a nation based on common history, beliefs, and other cultural elements. When people are unified as a nation, they often desire land to create a state. After WWI, many Middle Eastern nations were unhappy with European occupation. This motivated many groups to become independent states and to seek out land to do so. In some cases, the desire for land has led to conflict between nations. Islamism is a concept in which a society is infused with Islamic values in all aspects of life. Islamic values are taught in school, shared at social events, and are even a part of the group’s government system. Islamism became an important value that was incorporated in numerous Arab states after WWI. After the war, victorious European states divided Middle Eastern lands, and in some cases, they took advantage of the Arab population. Members of these populations harbored resentment against Western culture, leading to the push for Islamism.

The correct answer is - D. Held absolutely and by divine right.

In both of these ancient empires/dynasties the rulers were not elected, but instead they had the throne as a given because they were born in the family that ruled the empire/dynasty. They had the absolute power over everything in their respective empires/dynasties, but it's interesting that they were also considered as divine creatures, like Gods even.

Answer:

The Infamy Speech was a discourse conveyed by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt to a Joint Session of the US Congress on December 8, 1941, one day after the Empire of Japan's assault on the US maritime base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and the Japanese assertion of war on the United States and the British Empire. The name gets from the primary line of the discourse: Roosevelt portraying the earlier day as "a date which will live in notoriety". The discourse is likewise generally alluded to as the "Pearl Harbor Speech".

Inside a hour of the discourse, Congress passed a formal revelation of war against Japan and authoritatively brought the U.S. into World War II. The location is a standout amongst the most well known of all American political addresses

Famous quotes of that speech: "Yesterday, December 7, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan."

"We must be the great arsenal of democracy. For us this is an emergency as serious as war itself. We must apply ourselves to our task with the same resolution, the same sense of urgency, the same spirit of patriotism and sacrifice as we would show were we at war."

"No man can tame a tiger into a kitten by stroking it. There can be no appeasement with ruthlessness. There can be no reasoning with an incendiary bomb. We know now that a nation can have peace with the Nazis only at the price of total surrender."
