Ben Powell has been performing for others since the age of 3. Now at 19 years old, he enjoys acting, singing, and playing the gu

itar and trombone. As a high school student, Ben used his talents to impact his community. Specifically, Ben and his peers created a theatrical production to spread awareness about the potential consequences of bullying. With the support of his high school drama teacher, he and other students developed the project:
"Our drama teacher approached us and presented the idea that a message to students may be more effective if their peers delivered it. So, our drama class wrote the script. We also helped design the sets, and were the main actors in the production."

Answer:

1). The title of the article.

2). Ben Powell’s name.

5). The purpose of Ben’s play.

Explanation:

As per the question, the steps that should be included in the notes would be 'the title of the article' primarily as it is a must remember point that offers a clear and concise idea of the content present in the article. 'Ben Powell's name' would assist in substantiating/validating the point as it illustrates the key idea of displaying the solutions to cope up with issues like 'bullying'. 'The purpose of Ben's play' would exemplify the significance of theater as it conveys solutions to solve the problem of 'bullying' more effectively. Thus, options 1, 2, and 5 are answers would be the major elements that must be mentioned while planning to present.

The two parts of this excerpt from W. W. Jacobs's "The Monkey's Paw" show that show the White family doesn't believe in the talisman's power are:

"Sounds like the 'Arabian Nights,'" said Mrs. White, as she rose and began to set the supper.

The 'Arabian Nights' were stories made up by the narrator Scheherazade and told to the King over 1001 nights so that he would not kill her as he had done with so many other women in the past. In this way, it signifies that Mrs. White believes this story to be a made-up tale.

and

"Don't you think you might wish for four pairs of hands for me." Her husband drew the talisman from his pocket, and all three burst into laughter

Mr. White is jokingly asking to be given four pairs of hands, something that isn't sensible or realistic, because he does not believe in the power of the talisman to grant wishes. In the end the three burst in laughter as they do not take the talisman, or the story of it's power, seriously.

Answer:

The answer is "It is a part of the exposition that introduces the dogs' histories".

Explanation:

The point of this passage is the emphasize how the rest of the dogs, but not Buck, are already used to being satisfied with little food. They were "born in the life" and could survive with only a pound a salmon. Buck, on the other hand, felt constant hunger as the salmon was not enough.
