I think the higher the proportion of Guanine and cytosine; then the higher the melting temperature,tm. This is because there are three hydrogen bonds between the bases pairing between G and C, thus more thermal energy will be required to break the three hydrogen bonds holding G and C pairs, as compared to the breaking the two hydrogen bonds bonds holding A=T pairs.

A slice of pizza has 500 kcal. If we could burn the pizza anduse all the heat to warm a 50-L container of cold water, what would
kap26 [50]

Answer:

c. 10°C

Explanation:

Given that: A slice of pizza has 500 kcal.

That is to say Q = 500kcal

If the pizza was burned and all the heat were used to warm a 50-L container of cold water,

what  would be the approximate increase in the temperature of the water?

We were also being told to note that; A liter of cold water weighs about 1 kg.

i.e 50-L container weighs about 50kg (mass)

∴ Since;

Q= 500kcal,

m = 50kg; &

the specific heact (c) = 1

we can find the approximate increase in the temperature of the water by using the formula:

Q = mcΔT

ΔT = \frac{Q}{mc}

ΔT = \frac{500}{50*1}

ΔT = 10°C

What are similarities and differences between the organization and structure of DNA in bacterial cells and in human cells?
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]
Both human and bacteria cells contain DNA and both have a outer membrane that controls how materials come into and leave the cell.

Predominantly multicellular not in bacteria but in human body

*Cell contains a nucleus and other membrane bound organelles not in bacteria but in human body..

*DNA occurs in a circular form* in bacteria only..

* Ribosomes size in bacteria 70s and in human body 80s

*Capable of growth at temperatures greater than 80 C only in bacteria

*His tone proteins present in cell only in human body cells

* Operons present in DNA only in bacteria..
