C. Break it into smaller, simpler sentences.

By breaking into smaller, simpler sentences the ideas will be clearer. This sentence has too much going on. It takes a stance on the death penalty, gives two reasons for the position, as well as includes a piece of data. This is too much for just one sentence. Some of the grammatical errors will be fixed when the sentence is broken into smaller sentences. This eliminates option B as a possibility. Option A would only make the sentence even more complicated. Option D would defeat the entire purpose by changing to a different subject.

At the start of the book, Gregor Samsa might have turned into such an insect but it's clear when you pass thru the entirety of the series that the rest of his won't alter. Whenever anything and someone is going via a transformation, there must be an abrupt difference not just in physical attributes as well as from within.

Gregor may also have altered but he somehow decided to work and provide the food and money he required for his relatives. He realised that his family had been able to fend for themselves in his death as an insect since they can no longer rely on him to continue providing their wants.

What does the term courtier poet of middling talent mean
Margarita [4]

To understand this phrase you have to analyze it in pieces.

Courtier is a word to describe a person that goes to the court to present, in this case, poetry. The court was the place where the powerful people (kings, princes, queens, royal governors...) of society would go to have a different kind of reunions and presentations.

Middling is a word that was used as a synonym for standard, regular. Here it means that the poet is not particularly bright, not all that talented.
