Alexander, the Great a student of the great Greek philosopher Aristotle, encountered what Greeks called a Gymnosophist or 'naked philosopher' who were Ancient Indian philosophers who pursued asceticism. The Gymnosophist told Alexander the Great that he was seeking nothingness and in response, Alexander the Great in response told the Gymnosophist that he was seeking to conquer the world and they both laughed at each other.
