The Allies meeting to impose sanctions and peace terms to Germany and the Central Powers after WWI was known as the Paris Conference. The most important decision of the Conference was the creation of the League of Nations, a global organization to prevent war. The Allies signed a document called the Treaty of Versailles on June 28, 1919. The formal peace negotiations ended when the Allies signed the Lausanne Treaty in 1923.
