If you always try to see the good in everything, then it is true. Of course, it will vary and depend on the job you are doing; if it is what you expected or not quite, if it is related with what you feel passionate about and it fills your heart and soul or if it is a job you took basically just for economic reasons and is not related with your personality at all.

Either way, you can find in it enthusiasm in working with others, or in the money you will receive for it at the end of the month.

You definitely will have more possibilities of feeling enthusiastic if it is related with your passion, but if it is not, you still can find the good in it. You have to clear your mind and know that you choose to be there for a reason and that you can always find the good in something.

Write one to three sentences explaining how the word ""swim"" adds to the idea that the turtle ""can’t see herself apart from th
Lana71 [14]

Answer and Explanation:

"The Turtle" is a poem by author Mary Oliver in which a beautiful and sacred action is described. The speaker is delighted by a turtle laying her eggs in the sand, patiently, full of a drive no one - not even the turtle herself - knows where it comes from. T<u>he speaker also draws attention to the fact that the turtle is unaware of itself as an individual. She sees herself as the world, and world as herself, all things converging to keep life going:</u>

<em>she is a part of the pond she lives in, </em>

<em>the tall trees are her children, </em>

<em>the birds that swim above her </em>

<em>are tied to her by an unbreakable string.</em>

<u>The word choice in this stanza is particularly interesting. The author chose to say that the birds "swim" above the turtle. That serves to enhance the sense of connectedness. There is no difference between the turtle and the birds. They all fly; they all swim; they are all a part of the world, and the world itself. Even though they may appear different, they belong together in nature, completing the gorgeous mosaic of life. "Swim" only helps convey this beautiful idea that the turtle "can't see herself apart from the rest of the world."</u>

Talented young people are no exception, and many of them made a positive contribution to the community before graduating from high school. 1: How does the narrator affect the story?
Vinil7 [7]

Answer:

One of the main themes in this story is gratitude. The narrator is indebted to her mother for her life. She is grateful that her mother (Anna) has even made her life possible. This is why the narrator says "I owe her my existence three times." First, Anna saved her own life during a trapeze accident. Although Anna lost her first baby in childbirth following this accident, saving her own life allowed her to live on and eventually give birth to the narrator. The narrator is thankful a second time because Anna met her second husband during her hospital stay.

The "leap," first of all, refers to the actual leap the narrator's mother makes in saving her life during the house fire. This is the third time the narrator owes Anna her existence. To repay her mother for giving her life and/or saving her life, the narrator returns to take care of Anna. Anna's husband (narrator's father) has died and Anna has become blind. Anna loved to read. The narrator pledges to care for her mother and to read to her as much as needed. In this statement, one can see her dedication and gratitude towards her mother.

Since my father's recent death, there is no one to read to her, which is why I returned, in fact, from my failed life where the land is flat. I came home to read to my mother, to read out loud, read long into the dark if I must, to read all night.

The narrator makes her own "leap" in the sense that she goes back to care for Anna. The symbolic notion of the "leap" is about creating an intimate connection

Read the adapted excerpt from “NOAA Hurricane Hunters” by NOAA.
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

- re·con·nois·sance | ri-ˈkä-nə-zən(t)s \ noun

Explanation:

The dictionary entry which most aptly backs the meaning of the word 'reconnaissance' would be 're·con·nois·sance | ri-ˈkä-nə-zən(t)s \ noun' as it correctly describes the pronunciation of the word and its part of speech. <u>The word stands for 'the act of scouting or exploring to gain information' and it is used as the element of the noun phrase 'storm reconnaissance missions' which is acting as the object in the sentence</u>. Thus, this suggests that the these acts are pursued for gaining more information about the storms.
