The project completion time with a 75 percent certainty is 42 weeks.

Further Explanation:

Given information:

Expected completion time of a project = 40 weeks

The variance of its critical path activities = 9

Computation of the project completion time with a 75% certainty:

Refer to the normal distribution table, the value of z is taken on 0.75 which is 0.67.

The standard deviation of its critical path activities = √variance

                          = √9

               = 3

Expected time = 40 weeks

Project completion time with 75% certainty = Expected time + Z-value × Standard deviation

               = 40 + 0.67× 3

               = 40 + 2.01

               = 42.01 weeks

If the project has a certainty of 75 percent, then the project is completed with in 42 weeks. If the project has a certainty of 100 percent, then the project is completed with in 40 weeks.

Critical path:

The critical path refers to assigning the different jobs in a way to complete the whole project in minimum time. As the time duration of the project is minimum, the cost for the project is also minimum.

Albert transfers land (basis of $140,000 and fair market value of $320,000) to Gold Corporation for 80% of its stock and a note
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

1. Albert has a recognized gain on the transfer of $140,000.

Explanation:

Option D is wrong because Gold corporation has a basis in the land of Albert's recognized gain plus the cost of the value of land's Albert. Therefore, $140,000 + $140,000 = $280,000.

Option A is correct because, under the recognized gain clause 357(C), the mortgage on the land exceeds the cost of value of the land by $(200,000 - $140,000) = $60,000. Moreover, Alberta has received $80,000 additional from notes payable. So, total recognized gain on the transfer = $80,000 + $60,000 = $140,000.

Advice from most financial advisers states to spend no more than 28% of one's gross monthly income for one's mortgage payment, a
meriva

Answer and Explanation:

The computation is shown below:

a. For the maximum amount that spend each month on mortgage payment is

= Gross annual income ÷ total number of months in a year × mortgage payment percentage

= $39,600 ÷ 12 months × 28%

= $924

b. . For the maximum amount that spend each month on total credit obligatons

= Gross annual income ÷ total number of months in a year × mortgage payment percentage

= $39,600 ÷ 12 months × 36%

= $1,188

c. Now the maximum amount spend for all other debt is

For monthly mortgage

= $924 × 70%

= $646.8

And, for mortgage debt

= $1,188 × 70%

= $831.60

Coca-Cola’s "Simply Orange" product division ships oranges from three different groves to five processing plants. Typically, how
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

B) 15 decision variables, 8 supply/demand constraints.

Explanation:

To determine the number of decision variables all we have to do is multiply the number of groves by the number of processing plants = 3 x 5 = 15. There are 15 possible ways that oranges can go from one specific grove to one specific processing plant.

To determine the supply/demand constraints we add the number of groves (supply) and processing plants (demand) = 3 +5 = 8

Suppose your opportunity cost rate is 11 percent compounded annually. (a) How much must you deposit in an account today if you w
BlackZzzverrR [31]

Answer:

a. Amount = $1653.93

b. Amount = $1835.82

Explanation:

a.

The Present Value is the deposited amount of future payments.

The payments are annuity if they are made at the end of each year.

To compute the present value of an annuity with periodic payment, we'll make use of the following formula:

M(1 - (1 + r)^- T)/ r

Where

M = Periodic Payment = $230

T = Periods = 15

r = rate = 11% = 0.11

So, Amount of Deposit = 230(1 - (1 + 0.11)^-15)/0.11

Amount = 230(1 - (1.11)^-15)/0.11

Amount = 230 ( 1 - 0.209)/0.11

Amount = 230 * 0.791/0.11

Amount = 230 * 7.191

Amount = $1653.93

b.

In this case payments are made at the beginning of each period

This means that the payments are an annuity due.

To compute the present value of an annuity due with periodic payment, we'll make use of the following formula

M((1 + r) - ( 1 + r) ^ ( 1 - T))/r

Amount = 230(( 1 + 0.11) - (1 + 0.11) ^ (1 - 15))/0.11

Amount. = 230((1.11 - 1.11^-14))/0.11

Amount = 230(1.11 - 0.232)/0.11

Amount = 230 * 0.878/0.11

Amount = 201.94/0.11

Amount = $1835.82
