N a paragraph of seven to ten sentences, answer the following questions in relation to this passage from John F. Kennedy's 1963

Civil Rights Address: What idea must be changed, according to Kennedy, in this passage? Why is it necessary for this change to occur? What long-term impact does Kennedy expect to make by changing this idea?
"One hundred years of delay have passed since President Lincoln freed the slaves, yet their heirs, their grandsons, are not fully free. They are not yet freed from the bonds of injustice. They are not yet freed from social and economic oppression. And this Nation, for all its hopes and all its boasts, will not be fully free until all its citizens are free.

We preach freedom around the world, and we mean it, and we cherish our freedom here at home, but are we to say to the world, and much more importantly, to each other that this is the land of the free except for the Negroes; that we have no second-class citizens except Negroes; that we have no class or caste system, no ghettoes, no master race except with respect to Negroes?"

Question 1: The idea of racism must be changed.

Question 2: It is necessary for this change to occur so that a nation that has dreams, hopes, and preaches freedom can actually be free, and it won't be a free nation until all of the citizens are released.

Question 3: By changing this idea, Americans would start seeing each other as Americans and have what they claim to have. By not viewing a race of people differently than everyone else, then America would be true to what it says.

Vesna [10]

Answer:

to inform the reader about the products and foods that a region offers

Explanation:

Books that tell about travels are called travelogues. There are few reasons for writing such a book:

1) informing readers about landscape, place, customs, culture, region etc.

2) persuading readers to visit a specific location

3) entertaining readers with stories of travel and following adventures

This particular excerpt is purely informational; it provides some basic information on foods and products of a given region, without giving any details of the trip itself or trying to persuade readers to visit the place.

Anon25 [30]

Answer:

Research related to the popular use of social media in Egypt.

A statistic supporting the claim that social media use in Egypt is not widespread.

Widespread testimony about how social media use has changed in Egypt.

Explanation:

These are the three options that explain the types of evidence that the authors used in this excerpt.

First, the authors talk about the popular use of social media in Egypt when they argue that the Pew Research Center's Global Attitudes Project has looked at this information.

Second, the authors employ a statistic that supports the fact that social media is not widespread when they say that 65% of people do not use the Internet.

Finally, the authors use widespread testimony when they argue that most people who are online use social media to learn about the political situation in their country.

However, the authors never talk about how social media changed after the Arab Spring.
