In the play, Tybalt is Juliet's cousin, and therefore, a Capulet. He hates the Montagues like much of his family. However, Tybalt also seems to be agressive even when there is no reason to be so. He is impatient and choleric, and he wants to attack Romeo when he finds out he is coming to the party. He eventually kills Romeo's friend, Mercutio.
