Answer:

The words I would choose are avis, curso, and rotundus.

Explanation:

The reason for that choice is simple. We need to describe a bird (avis) that runs around (curso) in circles (rotundus). Those are the best options among the one in the list.

The use of Greek or Latin names for fauna and flora was systematized by Carl Linneaus in the 18th century. Linneaus was a Swedish naturalist who created a hierarchical systems of grouping animals and plants. The names are, however, constituted of two parts - in this question, we were asked to choose three words -, being called binomial nomenclature (two-name naming system). The names usually indicate what animal species that is plus a characteristic is possesses. For instance, the Asian tiger mosquito is called Aedes albopictus - aedes means mosquito, albopictus means painted white. As we can see, the word albopictus is an agglutination of two words (albo for white, pictus for painting). We could, thus, do the same to name our bird. So, the silly bird that runs around in circles could be called Avis cursorotundus.

Explanation:

"The Taming of the Shrew" by "William Shakespeare" talks about love, whether it is romantic, platonic or filial. He talks about romantic relationship between a man and a woman when they take interest in each other and decide to get married. Both of them show their romantic side to their partner during the courtship and their love is both romantic and platonic during this time.

"All thOught left him. Ile felt only the purest pleasure. " How does this phrase reveal the character ofSadao. Discuss with exam
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

This phrase reveal that Dr. Sadao is a skilled surgeon and only thought of curing the patient, regardless that he is an American and the enemy.

Explanation:

Dr. Sadao is the main character in the story 'The Enemy' written by Pearl S. Buck. Dr. Sadao is a skilled surgeon and lived near an isolated coast in Japan with his family. One day Tom, an American prisoner of war was washed up near Dr. Sadao's house. Sadao's instintive voice did not let him throw the prisoner back in the sea and they carried him and aided him.

While searching for the bullet in Tom's body, <em>all thoughts left </em>Sadao. All thoughts of what will happen to him and his family for giving shelter to an American war prisoner. And as he located the bullet, he felt the purest pleasure because he performed his duty as a skilled surgeon. As a doctor, it is his duty to save lives and when he was doing it, he did not think of anything else but to aid the prisoner.

This phrase shows that Dr. Sadao is not just a skilled surgeon but a good human being, and a doctor who knows his  duty of saving lives regardless the danger it possess on his family.

<em>'He was familiar with  every atom of this human body.'</em>

<em>'Then quickly, with the cleanest and most precise incision1', the bullet was out. ' </em>This phrases shows that Dr. Sadao was a skilled surgeon.

(D) That Leila is shocked at what the driver of the convertible did

Incredulous is defined as being "unwilling to admit or accept what is offered as true". If we analyze the sentence carefully, we can sort of make out how she feels, but if we completely remove the word from the sentence and input something we can understand a little easier, such as:

<em>"...</em><u><em>incredibly surprised</em></u><em> that he would stop traffic just to yell at another driver behind him."</em>

We can see that it fits right in.

Lastly, look at the word itself. It has a lot in common with "incredible" which is a much more commonly used word, knowing that it means "too improbably to be believed". This is one of the best methods for finding out the meaning to words we don't know. It won't be perfect 100% of the time, but in most cases it works.
