Membranes are held together by hydrophobic interactions

Proteins and lipids can move around laterally on one layer but rarely flip to the other side

Some move along the cytoskeleton fibers

Membrane remains fluid as temperature decreases until the phospholipids settle into a closely packed arrangement

Membrane remains fluid longer if there are more phospholipids with unsaturated hydrocarbon tails

Separated more because of the kinks in the tails

Cholesterol

At higher temperatures, it makes the membrane less fluid

Restrains phospholipid movement

Lowers the temperature required for membranes to solidify because they are packed less tightly

Temperature buffer

Explanation:

Most biological reactions rely on the enzyme to speed up the reaction. In the case of DNA replication, this enzyme is DNA polymerase. a; DNA is a double helix made up of two long chains of deoxyribonucleotides. ... b; a primer is used to start this process by giving DNA polymerase something to bind the new nucleotide to. just for you to see.

Eubacteriaudents research unicellular, prokaryotic organisms that live in harsh environments such as volcanic hot springs, brine
yKpoI14uk [10]

Answer: The correct option is A

Archae bacteria are extremophiles which thrive in extremely environment.

Explanation:

Extremophiles are organisms that inhabit extreme environments. They thrive in hot niches, ice, and salt solutions. Some of them grow in toxic waste, organic solvents and heavy metals. Extremophiles include members of all domains of life which are bacteria, archea, and eukaryotes. Out of these three members of extremophiles, archea are the main group of microorganisms to thrive in extreme environments. This is because the archea are skilled in adapting to different extreme conditions than bacteria and eukaryotes.

Archea are hyper thermophilic microorganisms.

raketka [301]

Answer:

From lower to higher level of magnification, the stella's view about plant cells.

Explanation:

At lower magnification, the structure of plant cell is not clear by stella but with the increase of magnification, the cell structure becomes enlarge and clearly seen different structures of plant cell by the individual. The boundary of plant cell is known as epidermis. The upper boundary of plant cell is upper epidermis and the lower boundary of plant cell is lower epidermis.

slega [8]
If the The speed of light is approximately 3 × 108 meters per second (m/sec) so the speed of light written in standard numerical form is 300,000,000  m/sec. You will just simply move the place holders to 8 places to the right since the exponent is a positive number. So 3^8= 3x100000000 which is equal to 300,000,000 .

Local and global winds are set in motion by air moving in convection cells. Describe the motion of air in a convection cell. Be
IrinaVladis [17]

Answer:

Due to the earth spherical shape, different latitudes of the planet receive varying solar energy levels from the sun. This is due to the differences in how the sun rays hit the earth surfaces and differences in the length of atmosphere the rays have to travel before they reach the earth's surface.

The equatorial regions get the most energy levels from the sun hence their atmosphere gets heated faster and the hottest. The air mass in this latitude, therefore, gets less fast dense  and begins to rise. The cooler and denser air mass from the poles rushes in, through the  lower atmosphere, to replace the void of the rising air.

When this air mass also gets heated, it too begins to rise. Remember the initial air mass cooled as it rose into the upper atmosphere. This now makes it denser than the air mas below it. As the hotter air mass begins to rise from below it pushes the cooler air mass above laterally. After the lateral movement, the air mass begins to sink slowly as it moves towards the poles because the incoming air mass gets denser than the local air mass.

The lateral movement of the convection current moving to the north is deflected to the north-west due to the Coriolis effect of the earth rotation while the lateral movement of the convection current moving south is deflected to the south-west. These pockets of convection currents are called Hadley cells.
