The source that modeled John Bunyan's writing style in The Pilgrim's Progress was a. the English Bible.

The Pilgrim's Progress (1678) is considered to be a Christian allegory. Besides being a writer, John Bunyan was also a Puritan preacher and that is why his works were all highly influenced by religion. In The Pilgrim's Progress all the characters of the story have names that are considerably significant, such as Christian, Evangelist and Goodwill. The Pilgrim's Progress, narrated by an omniscient narrator, tells the story of Christian's journey from his hometown, the "City of Destruction," to the "Celestial City", which represents Heaven. Furthermore, during his journey, Christian carries a book that is thought to be the Bible. Bunyan’s selection of words, the use of direct and indirect quotations from The Bible and the name of places such as the Palace Beautiful and the wall called Salvation also show the influence of the sacred text in the book. In addition, Bunyan resorts to a simple and colloquial but energetic language that has also been taken from the Bible.

Which details best reveal the setting of the passage? Select two options. "By the waters of Babylon"
Serggg [28]

Answer:

1. "It is a great Dead Place—greater than any Dead Place we know."

2. "Everywhere there are the ruins of the high towers of the gods."

Explanation:

Background or setting is the time and place of a tale, whether it be reality or fiction. As a literary element, it's a must. The location establishes the story's major backdrop and tone.

Passage:

It is not true what some of the tales say, that the ground there burns forever, for I have been there. Here and there were the marks and stains of the Great Burning, on the ruins, that is true. But they were old marks and old stains. It is not true either, what some of our priests say, that it is an island covered with fogs and enchantments. It is not. It is a great Dead Place—greater than any Dead Place we know. Everywhere in it there are god-roads, though most are cracked and broken. Everywhere there are the ruins of the high towers of the gods.

What will be the total costs for Tara's first year at the
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

Total Costs = $38580

Minimum Cost for 4 years = $116320

Explanation:

Data is not given in the question. However data related to the question is attached below

(See the table attached)

Total Costs for Tara's First Year:

As all the costs of Tuition, Room/board, Books/Lab, Transportation and Other are given in the table attached below, we just have to add all of them to get total costs for Tara's first year

Total Costs = $24500 + $8940 + $1950 + $1390 + $1800

Total Costs = $38580

Minimum Cost for 4 years:

We know that

Total Costs per year = $38580

Total Federal Grants per year = $9500

Minimum cost per year = $38580 - $9500 = $29080

Minimum Cost for 4 years = $29080*4

Minimum Cost for 4 years = $116320

C. A drawing of a child who became deformed by eating genetically modified foods

This would be an inappropriate use of media because it isn't an official document, statistic, or chart. Official tables, charts, or tables are much more relevant than a drawing, which could be inaccurate.
