Raphael was heavily influenced by the works of the Italian painter Leonardo d Vinci when he moved to Florence, Italy in 1504.  Raphael produced a series of "Madonnas," in 1507and experimented with da Vinci’s style. In his painting “The Small Cowper Madonna”.  The tilt of the head reflects a pyramid shape, distinct of Da Vinci’s artwork.
