Answer:

The Dutch settled in New Netherland mainly to profit from <em>Native Indian</em> , while Catholics settled in Maryland seeking <em>religious freedom</em>.

Explanation:

The Dutch settlers settle in New Netherland because it was geographically the best location to do trading with the Native Indians. The Dutch settlers traded with the native Indians for fur. Fur was considered to be a profitable trade in the colonies during the 1600s because it was considered to be luxury and famous among the elite families in Europe.

Catholics in England persecuted since the 1500s and continued it to the 17th century. Lord Baltimore in 1634 worked on settling a colony  named it Maryland where Catholic can practice freely without any restriction.

sergij07 [2.7K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Here we have just a statement. There is no question. However, doing some research we can say that the correct question would be this: <em>"What pieces of evidence would best support the author's conclusion?"</em>

If that is the case, then the correct answer is the following.

The evidence would be the way the Articles of Confederation created a week central government that basically, only had the power to control the post office and deal with Native American Issues. It was the states the ones that were sovereign and could collect money through taxation. So if the Central government needed money, it had to ask the states for it.

That original statement was written by Edmund S. Morgan, in "The Birth of the Republic."

What would a master builder include when building a Gothic cathedral? Do you think you would've enjoyed being a master builder?
laila [671]
In Gothic architecture, there would always be a pointed arch and a ribbed vault, as well as a flying buttress. The entire place would have numerous carvings of great artistic value that would only point out even more how great of a building it would be, since it was one of the primary goals of Gothic builders, making things huge and imposing.

I would've enjoyed because becoming a master builder for such a project means that the government of the country trusts you to be skillful enough to create such a massive building with huge historic importance and this would only mean that they have you in high esteem and respect you. It would be something like the cherry on top of an amazing architectural career.
