EXPLANATION: Trajan was a Roman Emperor from 98 - 117 AD. He was declared the best ruler in the Roman Dynasty and was also known as a philanthropic ruler.  He ranked as the second of the top five good emperors who presided over an era of peace and prosperity in the Mediterranean world. He reshaped the city of Rome and left numerous enduring landmarks such as Trajan's Forum, Trajan's Market and Trajan's Column. He was succeeded by his adoptive child, Hadrian.

In fact, he was a Roman emperor, not philosopher.
