Let the work done by Kyle in 1 day be

\frac{1}{x}

Let the work done by Tyler in 1 day

\frac{1}{2x}

According to question, we get

\frac{1}{x}+\frac{1}{2x}=\frac{1}{6}\\\\\implies \frac{2+1}{2x}=\frac{1}{6}\\\\\implies \frac{3}{2x}=\frac{1}{6}\\\\\implies x=9

Hence, time taken by Kyle is x= 9 hours

and

Time taken by Tyler to do the job alone is given by

2x=2\times 9=18\ hours

Here total time to complete the job=6 hrs

Total job =18

Time taken to complete the job =Total job/efficiency

Kyle to do the job alone =18/2 = 9 hrs
