Brody stood behind the curtain, waiting for Ms. McNeil's signal. Although he'd practiced his lines many times, Brody still felt

nervous about being in a musical. The auditorium was filled with people, including his friends and family members. What if he forgot his lines in front of everyone? Brody didn't want to embarrass himself! Finally, Ms. McNeil gave Brody the signal. He took a deep breath and walked onto the stage. To calm his nerves, Brody imagined that this was just another day at practice. He pretended that all of the auditorium seats were empty and delivered his first line. There was a slight pause before the audience started laughing and clapping. Brody let out a relieved sigh. After the scene ended, Brody left the stage feeling proud of his performance. The main conflict of the story can be described as A) person against self. B) person against person. C) person against nature. D) person against technology.
