I think Kipling wanted in some way to exault the values of the empire he believed he belonged to.As I read in an article in The Guardian, he was criticised for doing so but he won a Noble Prize at an early age, so he was admired for his creativity .Best known for his writings on children´s stories and travel stories he might have made a point about adventure , search and the value of old age.He supported English Imperialism as he considered the Empire experienced enough to pursuit new lands for the benefit of its people.

Jackie is writing a speech that claims that students should sell fruit instead of candy for the school fundraiser. In her speech
nikdorinn [45]

She could argue that you don't need to sell the same thing every year and therefore, we could all try something different this year, not just candy.

She also could argue that candies are not healthy and it's time to distance ourselves from them for now.

The best argument that she could pull off would be, if that was really the case, if fruits were easier and more profitable to sell. By far, if that was the argument, they would all sell fruit easily.
