The answer is C: Clover feels frustraded at has happened at the farm and her inability to stop it.

Clover is <em>frustraded because once she supported the revolution</em> but now sees the that it turned into a  totalitarian state full of corruption, and not what their idealism dreamed of. <em>Now, sadly, there is not a possibility to even think of disobeying, which would mean to have the same fate as her comrades who rebelled.</em>

What is Wiesel trying to do in this passage?
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

B. Show an example of the United States' indifference to the plight of the Jews

Explanation:

A part of the text <em>clearly shows</em> that Eliezer Wiesel is trying to show America's indifference to the plight of the Jews. He is not able to understand why and how it happened on the highest level in the greatest democracy and the most generous of all new nations

<em>"A thousand people – In America, the great country, the greatest democracy, the most generous of all new nations in modern history. What happened? I don’t understand. </em><em>Why the indifference…..</em><em>"</em>

There is not mention of sending more troops, death of President Franklin, or any evidence or mention of 1000 Jews killed on St. Louis.

How does reading the Proclamation most affect Hagop? In Excerpt from my mother's voice: The Proclamation
GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

A: It shocks him and makes him feel unsure about the future .

Explanation:

In Kay Mouradian's short story "Excerpt From My Mother's Voice: The Proclamation", the narrator tells the story of a man named Hagop Minishian and his family. Though it presents just a single scene where he was playing a game of backgammon with a friend, the coming of the proclamation led to the sudden shift in the atmosphere of the characters involved.

While playing the game and also reminiscing about his youngest daughter Flora's birth and life, the horseback riding Turkish soldier came and nailed a paper proclaiming the 'arrest/ surrender' of Armenians. This proclamation was read by everyone in the square, including <em><u>Hagop who was greatly shocked at the order and makes him feel unsure about what the future will hold for them.</u></em>
