At first, Clarisse tells Montag that she's 17 and, later, she admits that she'll be 17 next month. She says, "I'm seventeen and

I'm crazy. My uncle says the two always go together. When people ask your age, he said, always say seventeen and insane." First, decide whether you think her uncle is right – is there a special kind of insanity in 17 year olds? Explain your answer. Second, given the world that Montag and Clarisse live in, how might the uncle's advice be seen as practical and wise? Explain this answer, too.

Answer:

I strongly believe that is nothing wrong in telling the others that you are seventeen or that you are going to achieve that age. In my opionion, teenagers have to go through different stages in which they feel identified with certain moods. It doesnt mean they are insane but rather, they have what is approppriate for their age. In conclusion, the uncle tried to tell the girls there isn't nothing wrong in telling people that they are almost seventeen.

Furkat [3]

The following three lines indicate that all human beings are equal in the poet's eyes:

I am the poet of the woman the same as the man (poet of both)

And I say it is as great to be a woman as to be a man, (it is great to be both)

And I say there is nothing greater than the mother of men.

It is clear the use of comparisons of equality in the previous sentences from the poem of Walt Whitman.
