Matt is the editor of the literary magazine. He likes that his publication is creative and he does not want to hurt anyone's fee

lings by saying their work is not good enough to publish. He does not want to argue with anyone about what goes into the magazine so he mostly works by himself. The quality of the magazine sometimes suffers because he does not ask for help and does not turn away any submissions.
