Answer:

C. Triassic

Explanation: you said "preceded" and that means before and the period before the 'Jurassic period' in the 'Mesozoic era' was the 'Triassic period'. The 'Cretaceous period' followed after the 'Jurassic period'.

Are the eclipses consistent or inconsistent with belief in an Earth-centered system? Please explain
Galina-37 [17]

Answer:

The answer is: 1.- Eclipses can occur outside the Earth-Moon system. 2.- The reason we see that a planet describes a retrograde trajectory in our sky is because of the way it moves with respect to the earth.

Explanation:

1.- The eclipse is a phenomenon in which the light coming from a celestial body is blocked by another, normally called an eclipsing body, there are eclipses of the Sun and the Moon, which only occur when the Sun and Moon align with Earth in a certain way. This happens during some new moons and full moons.

However, eclipses outside the Earth-Moon system can also occur.

2.- The word planet is applied to the stars that modify their positions with respect to the fixed stars.

The Sun and the Moon move in a more or less regular way, throughout space, always moving from west to east, but there are five planets that travel in a more irregular way.

Thus these five move along the space from west to east, although this movement is interrupted for brief intervals by a retrograde movement from east to west. The reason we see that a planet describes a retrograde path in our sky is because of the way it moves with respect to the earth.

The answer is: 1.- Eclipses can occur outside the Earth-Moon system. 2.- The reason we see that a planet describes a retrograde trajectory in our sky is because of the way it moves with respect to the earth.

The GAIA spacecraft is capable of measuring parallax angles as small as about 0.00002 arcseconds (20 microarcseconds). Based on
Natali5045456 [20]

Answer:

It will be able to measure the distances of stars located across the Milky Way galaxy and outside it up to a distance of 50 Kiloparsec.

Explanation:

1 arcsecond is 1/parsec.

0.00002 arcsecond is 1/0.00002 parsec = 50,000 parsecs or 50 Kiloparsecs.

The shortest distance to the edge of the Milky Way is about 8 Kiloparsec and the farthest is about 24 Kiloparsec. So at this parallax angle, it can measure the distances of stars across the Milky Way galaxy. Any stars within a distance of 50 Kpc will be measured by GAIA. However, since the closest galaxy to the Milky Way is about 770 Kpc away, GAIA will be unable to measure any stars in another galaxy.
