Explanation:

To answer this exercise we first have to know what REFLEXIVE VERBS are because it is the main theme of our 8 sentences.

REFLEXIVE VERBS:

They are a special kind of CONJUGATED VERBS that are transitive (it means that the action expressed by the verb is affecting the subject of the sentence). Thus, the person who does the action is the same person who receives that action.

For example: Yo me peino (I comb my hair); here I’m the person who is doing the action of “combing”, but my own hair is who is being combed, so I do and receive the action of the verb at the same time.

Verbs related to personal routines (for example combing, make up, dress up, washing, having a bath, etc.) are commonly REFLEXIVE VERBS.

GRAMMATICAL RULE: It is really important to notice that REFLEXIVE VERBS are always accompanied by REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS, which are in charge of expressing who is receiving the action.

REFLEXIVE PRONOUNS

 • Yo –Me
 • Tú- Te
 • ÉL/ella/usted- Se
 • Nosotros-Nos
 • Vosotros-Os
 • Ellos-Se

Now, here we have the answers, please focus your attention in the conjugated verb and the reflexive pronoun that is always next to it.

1. Roberto y yo NOS LEVANTAMOS a las 7:00

2. Papá SE DUCHA primero y luego SE AFEITA

3. Yo ME LAVO la cara y ME VISTO antes de tomar café

4. Mamá SE PEINA y luego SE MAQUILLA

5. Todos nosotros NOS SENTAMOS a la mesa para comer

6. Roberto SE CEPILLA los dientes después de comer

7. Yo ME PONGO el abrigo antes de salir

8. Nosotros NOS VAMOS.

Write a short dialogue-both sides of the conversation-in Spanish between you and your doctor, Dr. Romero, in complete sentences.
Marizza181 [45]

Hi! Just letting you know, I'm not sure which words are in your vocabulary from this lesson, so I will just input my own vocab into this dialog.

Dr. Romero: ¡Hola (your name here)! Buenos días.

You: Buenos días Dr. Romero, ¿cómo estás?

Dr. Romero: Estoy bien, gracias, ¿cómo estás?

You: Lo estoy haciendo bien, gracias.

Translation in English so you know what I said:

Dr. Romero: Hi (your name here)! Good morning.

You: Good morning Dr. Romero, how are you?

Dr. Romero: I am good, thank you, how are you?

You: I am doing well, thanks.

Hope this works!
