Answer:  There are 1% of people are ambidextrous.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of percent of left handed people be 'x'.

Let the number of percent of right handed people be 'y'.

Let the number of percent of ambidextrous people be 'z'.

According to question, the number of left handed people in the world is one tenth the number of right handed people.

so, it becomes,

x=\dfrac{y}{10}\\\\10x=y

The percent of right handed people is nine times the percent of left handed people and ambidextrous people combined.

\dfrac{y}{100}=9(\dfrac{x}{100}+\dfrac{z}{100})\\\\y=9x+9z

So, from both the equations we get that

10x=9x+9z\\\\10x-9x=9z\\\\x=9z

As we know that

x+y+z=100\\\\x+10x+\dfrac{x}{9}=100\\\\11x+\dfrac{x}{9}=100\\\\\dfrac{99x+x}{9}=100\\\\\dfrac{100x}{9}=100\\\\x=9

So, percent of people are ambidextrous is given by

x=9z\\\\9=9z\\\\\dfrac{9}{9}=z\\\\z=1\%

Hence, there are 1% of people are ambidextrous.

In the diagram, . To prove that △VWZ ~ △YXZ by the SAS similarity theorem, which other sides or angles should be used? WV and XY
My name is Ann [436]

Step-by-step explanation:

To prove that △VWZ ~ △YXZ by SAS theorem, we must prove that two of the sides for each triangle is congruent, and the angle inbetween the sides are congruent. Depending on which side is given to you, choose the one that conforming to it. For example:

Figure 1:

Side HJ is congruent with side ML, Angle J is congruent with angle M, Side IJ is congruent with side KM (SAS)

Choose the function whose graph is given by:
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

D. y=\tan (x-\pi)+2

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the graph of the transformed tangent function.

As, we can see that the graph is shifted 2 units upwards.

That is, the parent function is translated 2 units up.

So, the new function will be of the form, y=\tan (x)+2.

Thus, options A and C are not correct.

Moreover, 'If a function f(x) has period P, then the function cf(bx) will have period \frac{P}{|b|}.

Also, form the figure, we see that the period of the graphed function is \pi.

Since, y=\tan (x) have period \pi.

So, function in option B will have period \frac{\pi}{2}, which is not possible.

<em>Further, function in option D have period \pi.</em>

Thus, the equation of the graphed function is, y=\tan (x-\pi)+2.

A machine can weave 40 inches of fabric in 12 minutes. How long will it take for the machine to weave 100 inches of fabric?
Lostsunrise [7]
40/12 = 100/x
Cross-multiply and get:
40x = 1200

Divide both sides by 40:
 x = 30
It will take 30 minutes for the machine to weave 100 inches of fabric.

12) -6n – 20 = -2n +4(1 – 3n)<br> What’s the first step
EastWind [94]

Answer:

n = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

-6n - 20 = -2n + 4 (1-3n)

First distribute the 4 (1-3n)

-6n - 20 = -2n + 4 - 12n

Combine like terms on the right side

-6n - 20 = -14n + 4

Get 'n' on one side by adding -6n to both sides

-20 = -8n + 4

Subtract 4 to both sides

-24 = -8n

Divide -8 to both sides

3 = n
