An application specifies a requirement of 200 GB to host a database and other files. It also specifies that the storage environm

ent should support 5,000 IOPS during its peak workloads. The disks available for configuration provide 66 GB of usable capacity, and the manufacturer specifies that they can support a maximum of 140 IOPS. The application is response time- sensitive, and disk utilization beyond 60 percent does not meet the response time requirements. Compute and explain the theoretical basis for the minimum number of disks that should be configured to meet the requirements of the application.

Answer:

60 minimum number of disks that should be configured to meet the requirements of the application.

Explanation:

Requirement of space for database = 200 GB

Usable Capacity for configuration = 66 GB

so the size requirement can be calculated as below :

Size requirement = 200/66 = 4 Disks

IOPS supported during peak processing cycle = 5000 IOPS

Max No. of IOPS supported = 140 IOPS

AS,The application is response time sensitive, and disk utilization beyond 60 percent does not meet the response time requirements, so,

IOPS requirement can be calculated as

IOPS requirement = 5000 IOPS/ (140x0.6 IOPS) = 60 disks

This program finds the sum and average of three numbers. What are the proper codes for Lines a and b?
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

The Proper codes in Line a and Line b is given below

average=Sum/3

print (" Average is = ", average)

Explanation:

In the given question it calculated the sum but the program does not calculate the average of the 3 numbers. The average of the 3 number is calculated by using average=Sum/3   statement so we add this code in Line a then After that print the value of average by using the print function so we add this code in Line b.

What ""old fashioned"" features of checking accounts is p2p replacing
balandron [24]

Answer:

Bank or Wire transfers and ATM cash withdrawls

Explanation:

With P2P solutions like PayPal and Venmo there is far less reason to ever handle cash, especially from one person to another.

If only one answer is allowed then I would lean towards "ATM Cash Withdrawls".

Describe the output when the following code executes in 64-bit mode: .data dividend_hi QWORD 00000108h dividend_lo QWORD 3330002
iragen [17]

Answer:

RAX = 333000h (16 bits with preceding zeros removed)

RDX = 20h (also 16 bits with preceding zeros removed)

Explanation:

The "div" opcode in the assembly language source code is used to divide operands. It accepts a divisor ( the denominator) and divides the content of the AX register. The result is saved in the AX register while the remainder (if any) is saved in the DX register. If the DX register holds any data, the data is replaced with the divisor remnant.

The code above divides the content of the RAX register with the divisor variable and saves the result and remainder in the RAX and RDX respectively.

Write a flowchart and C code for a program that does the following: Within main(), it asks for the user's annual income. Within
Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

I am writing a C program:

#include <stdio.h> //to use input output functions

void printIt(double annual_in){ //function printIt

if(annual_in >90000) //check if the income is greater than 90000

printf("Congratulations. Doing great!"); //print this message if income value is greater than 90000

else //if annual income is less than 90000

printf("You WILL make $50,000, if you keep going"); } //print this message if income value is less than 90000

int main() //start of main() funciton body

{   double income; //declares a double type variable income to hold annual income value

printf("Enter annual income: "); //prompts user to enter annual income

scanf("%lf",&income); //reads income value from user

printIt(income); } // calls printIt method by passing input income to that function

Explanation:

The program is well explained in the comments mentioned with each statement of the program. The flowchart is attached.

First flowchart flow1 has a separate main program flowchart which reads the income and calls printIt function. A second flowchart is of prinIt() method that checks the input income passed by main function and displays the corresponding messages and return.

The second flowchart flow2 is the simple flowchart that simply gives functional description of the C program as flowchart is not where giving function definitions is important. Instead of defining the function printIt separately for this C program, a high-level representation of functional aspects of this program is described in second flowchart while not getting into implementation details.
