Answer:

-Her disguise made her appear older than Telemachus.

Explanation:

Homer's "The Odyssey" tells the story of how Odysseus returned back to his kingdom Ithaca after almost two decades of being away. The whole journey way back home also involves numerous encounters with gods, goddesses and even other demi-gods, good and bad, all playing an important role in his development as the person he was when he reached home.

In Book III, Telemachus, Odysseus' son, had went on a journey to try to find his father along with several men and Minerva/ Athena in disguise. When they had reached the place of Nestor at Pylos, they were invited to join in their feast. At this, Thrasymedes gave the wine cup to Athena in disguise as Mentor, telling her that <em>"he is younger than you are, and is much of an age with myself, so I will give you the precedence"</em>.

Thus, Minerva/ Athena was given the wine cup first because of her old age appearance as compared to the others.

What is the most prominent figurative language element in this excerpt from the poem “The First Snowfall” by James Russell Lowel
Dmitrij [34]
I believe that the most prominent figurative language element in this excerpt is D. personification.
Personification is when non-human entities have human abilities or qualities. So, every pine and fir and hemlock wore ermine...
It's not simile, as simile is comparison using words such as like or as. Alliteration is the repetition of the same consonant, so that's also incorrect. Synecdoche is a form of a metaphor, so it's not that either. Hyperbole is exaggeration, so that is incorrect as well.

laila [671]

A parallel that can be traced about the excerpt from Enrique's Journey that appears in the book Children of the Drug Wars by author Damon Barett and the information about migrating without the parents of Central America to North America is that the abandonment of these children by part of their parents or guardians is a great motivation for them not to return to their country of origin but to keep going north. The escape of a violent past and abandonment with the parents serves as an incentive for these children to travel to the north of the American continent
