Answer:

The amount that she will be depositing into her savings account is $990.54

Explanation:

The computation of the deposited amount is shown below:

= One check amount + second check amount + third check amount - cash received the amount

= $50.32 + $324.89 + $753.15 - $137.82

= $990.54

Since the amount of the check is considered as a deposited amount and the cash receipts would not be considered as a deposited mount so we deduct this from the total value of checks

The lower a firm's inventory turnover, the longer it takes the firm to collect payment on its sales. a. faster the firm collects
Doss [256]

Answer:

The answer is C. longer inventory sits on the firm's shelves

Explanation:

The Inventory turnover is the number of times inventory is sold or used during a given period of time.

The formula is:

cost of goods sold/average inventory.

A lower inventory turnover means weak sales(declining sales) and excess inventory remaining in the warehouse while a higher inventory turnover means it is taking a firm short time to sell its goods(inventory)

Elodia [21]

Answer: When computing the cost per equivalent unit, the weighted-average method of process costing considers: C) costs incurred during the current period plus cost of beginning work in process inventory.

Explanation: This is because the weighted-average method takes into account the costs of the previous period and the costs of the current period.

Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

The best choice is process A since it has the highest EMV of $330000

Explanation:

there is a 50% chance that they will sell 50,000 units, and a 50% chance that they will sell 100,000 units

The decision tree is attached below, the calculations for the decision tree is given as:

The item sells for $10. Process A requires an investment of $120,000 for design and equipment, but results in a $4 per unit cost.

If there is high demand, they will sell 100,000 units, The profit = 100000($10-$4) - $120000 = $480000.

If there is low demand, they will sell 50,000 units, The profit = 50000($10-$4) - $120000 = $180000.

The EMV of process A = 0.5($480000) + 0.5($180000) = $330000

Process B requires only a $100,000 investment, but its per unit cost is $5

If there is high demand, they will sell 100,000 units, The profit = 100000($10-$5) - $100000 = $400000.

If there is low demand, they will sell 50,000 units, The profit = 50000($10-$5) - $100000 = $150000.

The EMV of process B = 0.5($400000) + 0.5($150000) = $275000

If the item is outsourced, there is virtually no cost other than the $6 per unit that they would pay their supplier

If there is high demand, they will sell 100,000 units, The profit = 100000($10-$6) = $400000.

If there is low demand, they will sell 50,000 units, The profit = 50000($10-$6) = $200000.

The EMV of Buying = 0.5($400000) + 0.5($200000) = $300000

The best choice is process A since it has the highest EMV

The market for household appliances in Richland is monopolistically competitive. Some firms in this market are incurring losses.
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

Monopolistic competition exists in industries that have many firms offering similar products or services. In monopolistic competition, those similar products are not perfect substitutes for one another. Barriers in entry and exit of these industries are low and decisions made by one firm do not directly affect its competitors. In the short term, a monopolistically competitive industry can incur losses nut <em>only if those loses are higher than the fixed costs the organization will stop operations</em>.
