Answer:

In a study by Simmons and Blyth (1987), in the sixth grade, early-maturing girls showed greater satisfaction with their figures than did late-maturing girls, but by the tenth grade, late-maturing girls were more satisfied. A possible reason for this is that in late adolescence, late-maturing girls are taller and thinner than early-maturing girls.

Explanation:

Studies made by Simmons and Blyth showed that early maturing girls became shorter and bulky during late adolescence phase. Hence, these girls were not satisfied with their bodies. They might have had a taller height and slim body during early adolescence.

However, studies by Simmons and Blyth also showed that the late-maturing girls acquired a tall height and slimmer body during late adolescence. Hence, they were satisfied with their bodies.

Anna71 [15]
Solid tipped IUPC design avoids pressure or becomes lodged against the uterine wall as may occur with fluid filled IUPC.

In fluid filled IUPC:

1. A catheter tip may become wedged against the uttering wall or fetal part preventing recording of pressure data or causing a distorted or truncated waveform.

2. A catheter tip in relation to external pressure transducer position may record inaccurate pressure readings.

3. Meconium, vernix, or blood may obstruct catheter

4. Air in catheter may change pressure waveform or provide inaccurate pressure data.
