Answer:

Oscar Lewis’s "culture of poverty" is usually interpreted as blaming the poor people for being poor. It's like, you are poor because you decide to be poor, and Cho (and I) believe that it is not true.

While Mario Luis Small believed that someone doesn't have or belongs to a culture just because his or her race, ethnic group or gender. His work relates to how environmental, socio-cultural conditions influence poor neighborhoods and their residents.

Lewis provides 70 characteristics that address the culture of poverty, which is considered not shared by all the lower classes.

<h2>Further Explanation </h2>

People in a culture of poverty have strong feelings of marginality, powerlessness, dependency, and ownership. They are like aliens in their own country, convinced that it does not meet their interests and needs. Along with this feeling of helplessness are widespread feelings of inferiority, personal unworthiness. In the United States, the poor, Negroes, incur additional losses, including racial.

Have a little history. They are marginal people who only know their own problems, their own conditions, their own environment, their own way of life. Usually, they don't have the knowledge, vision or ideology to see questions between their problems and others like themselves elsewhere in the world.

Lewis is the son of a rabbi, born in 1914 in New York City and raised on a small farm in northern New York. He received a bachelor's degree in history in 1936 from City College of New York, where he met his future wife and fellow researcher, Ruth Maslow. Lewis teaches at Brooklyn College, and Washington University, and helps find anthropology majors at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Suppose that the market for athletic shoes is initially in equilibrium at point A. Further suppose the demand for athletic shoes
elixir [45]

Answer: Correct. When there is an increase in supply and an increase in demand, the new equilibrium quantity increases but whether the equilibrium price increases or decreases is unknown.

Explanation:

When the demand for the shoes increased, it had the effect of shifting the demand curve to the right. At the same time, with six more firms coming into the market, the supply increased as well which had the effect of shifting the supply curve right as well.

The new equilibrium as a result of these movements will see the quantity increase. However, due to the shift of both the supply and the demand curve in the same direction, it is uncertain if the price will change or not.

The general rule is that if the rise in supply is more than rise in demand then the price will decrease. If they rise by the same amount then price will remain the same. It shows therefore that if both supply and demand rise at the same time, the effect on equilibrium price is unknown.

Svetllana [295]

Answer: If the question is "What information is used to identify similar audiences?" then please look at the explanation below for the answer.

Explanation: Similar audiences is a type of targeting feature that looks at remarketing lists, to help grow the reach of your existing audience, by targeting new users who have similar characteristics to the best performing audiences who already visit your site.

Diana makes use of Google Ads to identify similar audiences. Google ads views millions of individuals who use Google's search engine. Google Ads will then look at a variety of factors that she constructed and will then identify which of her remarketing lists actually qualify for similar audiences using these factors. This will occur automatically.

Consider airfares on flights between New York and Minneapolis. When the airfare is $250, the quantity demanded of tickets is 2,0
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

c the price elasticity of demand is about 1.43 and an increase in the airfare will cause airlines' total revenue to decrease.

Explanation:

q1 2,000 p1 250

revenue1 = quantity x price = 2,000x250 = 500,000

q2 1,700 p2 280

revenue2 = 1,700 x 280 = 476,000

<u>Midpoint formula:</u>

E_p\frac{q_1-q_2}{\frac{q_1+q_2}{2}} \div\frac{p_1-p_2}{\frac{p_1+p_2}{2}}

\frac{2,000-1,700}{\frac{2,000+1,700}{2}} \div\frac{250 - 280}{\frac{250 + 280}{2}}

\frac{300}{1850} \div\frac{-30}{265}

Ep = -1.432432432

As the price elasticity is above -1 the decrease in quantity is greater than the decrease in price thus, the revenue of the firm decreases if increase the price.

Answer:

Number of order = 13.2 times

Explanation:

The economic order quantity is the order quantity that minimizes the total of ordering costs and holding costs.

EOQ is computed thus:

EOQ =√ (2× Co× D)/Ch

Co ordering cost - 2000,

Ch- holding cost - 13.5%× 26 =

A- annual demand - 200,000

EOQ =  √(2× 2000× 200,000)/(13.5%× 26)

       = 15,097.02712

The number of times IAI would place order

= Annual demand ?order quantity

= 200,000/15,097.02

= 13.2 times
