Answer;

- phosphate group

- Ester functional group

- Alkene

- Alkane side chains.

Explanation;

Phospholipids are types of lipids that are major components of the cell membranes.

They consist both the hydrophillic (water loving) and hydrophobic (water hating) ends.

The major functional groups in a phospholipids are;

- the phosphate groups - PO4

- The Ester functional group- - COO-R

- Alkene side chain - -CH=CH-

- Alkane side chain - -CH-CH-

Plants use carbohydrates to build things such as cellulose. How do plants acquire these building blocks to build mass?
Liula [17]
<span>In order to obtain the building blocks for larger carbohydrates, such as cellulose and starch, plants rely on photosynthesis to produce a smaller carbohydrate, glucose. During the process of photosynthesis, atmospheric carbon dioxide and water are combined in the presence of light to produce glucose and oxygen. This glucose is then polyemerized in order to create larger, more complex carbohydrates such as cellulose.</span>

For many generations, the following genotypic frequencies were observed in a large population of dinosaurs: 4 percent AA, 32 per
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

C) 19.7%

Explanation:

The new population distribution after climate change wiped out homozygous recessive dinosaurs is:

AA = \frac{4}{4+32}=\frac{1}{9}

Aa = \frac{32}{4+32}=\frac{8}{9}

The percentage of offspring of this new population that are homozygous recessive is given by:

P(Aa\ x\ Aa) = \frac{8}{9} *\frac{8}{9} =\frac{64}{81} \\P(aa) = \frac{1}{4}\\P(Aa\ x\ Aa) \cap P(aa) = \frac{64}{81}*\frac{1}{4} =0.197=19.7\%\\

19.7% of these newborn dinosaurs died

The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans provide guidelines specifically for older adults. "Which of the following is not
Tems11 [23]

b. All adults should engage in moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity for at least 150 minutes per week, vigorous-intensity aerobic activity for 75 minutes per week, or an equivalent combination of the two.

Explanation:

The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans guidelines for older adults states that:

Older adults are more susceptible to cardiac and nervous disorders along with poor musculoskeletal strength.

To maintain good cardiac and nervous health; musculoskeletal fitness and strength; reduce depression, cognitive decline; older adults are directed to engage in moderate-intensity/vigorous or combination of both aerobic physical activities and muscle-strengthening exercises.

They should include physical activities combining one or more of; occupational (work-based) activities; transportation (walking, cycling); household chores (cleaning); leisure time activities (gardening, dancing); sports activities (hiking, biking, swimming, games, running) and planned daily routine exercise activities; all of them as part of their daily routines performed as an individual, family or community-based activities .

Older adults with mobility issues should perform exercises to improve their balance and prevent falls .

A trait, such as height, has high heritability because much of the variation between individuals is the result of genetic variat
Len [333]

This is because the traits like height, are influenced by environmental conditions around the individual. For example, there are two children born to same mother. But one is given best facilities, nutrition and care, whereas other one is brought up by a poor family, which hardly get good food to eat. His condition is much worse than the first case. In such a situation, the former child will grow up healthy and fit, and will have more height than the later one. Although, both got genes from same parent, but the environmental conditions influenced the expression of those genes differently.
