Answer: ''We followed the crowd of people funneling onto the bridge to cross into Manhattan.'' and ''Papa glanced over toward the crowd. "Why that's President Arthur himself," he exclaimed.''

Explanation:

Those two sentences are clearly having historical elements since they are both mentioning two important things for historical fiction and those are including mentioning historical figures and events or locations.

  • In the first sentence, ''We followed the crowd of people funneling onto the bridge to cross into Manhattan.'' we can feel that something historically is happening because it is mentioning a crowd of many people that were crossing the bridge which is pointing on an important event that will happen.
  • Later on in the passage, we are founding out what is actually happening and that is shown in the second sentence with historical elements which is including the name of the historical figure and that is President Arthur.

Not having the excerpt here, I can only help you to find the answer.  Mood is the feeling you get when you read the passage.  Foreboding is fearful or apprehensive.  Welcoming is or can be joyful and accommodating or making someone feel comfortable in their surroundings.  Sorrowful is sad or mournful.  Optimistic is positive, hopeful, and confident about your future.  As you read the passage, which of these are you feeling or closely matches your feelings.

In at least 150 words, explain how George Orwell's early life influenced the personal beliefs that were reflected in his writing
mrs_skeptik [129]

He was aware of social injustice, opposed totalitarianism, and belief in democratic socialism.

According to John McNair during an Interview with Ian Angus UCL 1964, Orwell is quoted as saying I've come to fight against Fascism" when he went to Spain to aide in the Spanish civil war against the fascists. This would tend to indicate that he was anti-NAZI.

How to Build a Fire Pit 1. Create the base. To ensure you get the preferred size, begin by using a tape measure to measure the d
lesantik [10]

The revisions that would make the diagram of the fire pit more effective are:

1. Including images for each step of the process;

2. Adding a label to indicate the depth of the fire pit;

3. Including labels for all materials mentioned.

Those revisions would make it easier for the person building the fire pit to visualize the work that has to be done and the way it is supposed to be done. Understanding the materials, their appearance and use is an important step to ensure the success of the project. Since the depth is crucial for the fire pit to function properly, being able to visualize the correct depth is also essential for the building. The pictures of each step would help eliminate possible doubts, especially if the images are well depicted and numbered.
