The TWO sentences that describe the context in which Napoleon rose to power are the following: The Directory was inefficient, unpopular, and unable to bring stability to France and Napoleon was ambitious and temporarily allied with two members of the Directory to gain power.

Napoleon, a strong military leader that had proven his value in the battlefield, had the character and experience needed to step in as the ruler of France under the context of a weak and inefficient Directory. Which statement best describes the United Nations plan for the Palestine Mandate after World War II?
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

The United Nations plan for the Palestine called for the creation of two states, one Arab and one Jewish, in the mandate.

Option: (D)

Explanation:

 • Owing to the consistent and ongoing conflicts between the Jews from Israel and the Arabs from the Arab countries neighboring Israel, the United Nations decided to mediate by making a plan through which they would divide Palestine (the land that was causing the conflict between the two communities) into two different states.
 • The plan enumerated the idea of dividing Palestine into two parts, out of which one would be given to Jews, and the other would be given to Arabs.
 • The plan was not accepted by either of the two.

Ugo [173]

I sure don't have time to write an essay! But the first one sounds alright.

One of the early Chinese civilizations was located between the two main rivers, (google them for more details) Anyways, unlike most of China, the plain between the two rivers is fertile, allowing the people to grow rice and other foods. Along with that, I am certain that they had mountains and deserts to the west. If they could be used against natural disasters (I doubt they'd come in west) it'd be helpful! Good day
