Answer:

They indicate the importance of natural elements in Kahlo’s life.

Explanation:

<u>The poem "Sonnet in Primary Colors" and the painting </u><em><u>Self-Portrait with Monkey and Parrot</u></em><u> both put a strong emphasis on the natural elements that were very important in Frida Kahlo's life.</u>

<u>Kahlo was a great lover of nature</u>; she always kept a garden in her house and she found animals important. Elements of flora and fauna can often be seen at her paintings, and this one is no exception. We see her in the garden or the field of bright colors accompanies by the monkey and the parrot with whom she stands in peace.

The poem also explains the importance of it, using many natural imageries when talking about Frida. Dove says she is "erect among parrots", compare her clothes to the peasant clothes (someone who works on the field, in nature, with plants and animals) and writes "wildflowers entwining the plaster corset". <u>This refers to the corset Kahlo had to wear due to the back injury, which Dove here says is entwining with wildflowers, accenting Frida's connection with nature. </u>

Rita Dove's poem "Sonnet in Primary Colors" and Frida Kahlo's painting <em>Self-Portrait with Monkey and Parrot </em>are in the attachment below.

4. D.  Andy was shocked and horrified to hear the details of how Ann was killed and felt her loss more deeply.

5. C. “‘Hearing Conor,’ he said, ‘I made sounds I’ve never heard myself make. To hear that your daughter was on the floor saying ‘no’ and holding her hands up and still be shot is just — it’s just not...’ He tried to explain the horror of such knowledge, but it’s not easy.” ( Paragraph 92)

This evidence best proves the answer to question #4 and explains why #4 is correct. In option C, it specifically states Andy's reaction to Conor's account of Ann's murder. Listening to Conor tell about how Ann was on the floor and saying, "no" while she was helpless to stop him, horrified and shocked Andy. The narrator specifically says that the horror of the knowledge was hard for him to explain.

The fast food has an organized way of making food for the customers. They also have complete equipment from food preparation, distribution and selling of food. The manager as boss directly applies management of workers which gives the business good standing to make the business work. This routine resembles other businesses and is not far from the organizational flow.

Teenagers are the ideal people for the business because they have fast response. They think quickly and can follow the procedures given to them. They have enough energy to perform their tasks.

Read the passage from Elizabethan Etiquette.

<em>The Elizabethan era, the years between 1558-1603 when Elizabeth I reigned as Queen of England, is known for its emphasis on courtly manners. The most esteemed book on the subject was Castiglione's The Book of the Courtier, also referred to as The Courtier. The Courtier was translated from its original Italian into English in 1561, and its rules were carefully followed by the highest-ranking courtiers of the day.</em>

Question: According to the passage, society first began to closely follow etiquette rules when:

Options:

  • Elizabeth I started her reign as Queen of England.
  • Queen Elizabeth read Castiglione’s The Courtier.
  • Castiglione’s The Courtier was translated into English.
  • Manners became linked with the Italian and English courts.

Answer: The correct answer is: <u>Castiglione’s The Courtier was translated into English. </u>

Explanation: The passage mentions the following: ''<em>The Courtier was translated from its original Italian into English in 1561, and its rules were carefully followed by the highest-ranking courtiers of the day.'' </em>Based on this, we know that society began to carefully and closely follow etiquette rules when The Courtier was translated into English.
