Answer:

correct option is e. $169.6 million

Explanation:

given data

Stock dividend issued = 15%

outstanding shares = 16,000,000

Market price  = $46  per share

Retained earnings  = $280,000,000

solution

first we get here stock dividend that is 15% of Outstanding shares

stock dividend = 0.15 × 16,000,000

stock dividend =  2,400,000

and

as here stock dividend issue is less than 20 to 25% that is classified small stock dividend

so Amount that transferred from retain earning to Common stock  is  here

transferred amount = stock dividend × Market value per share

transferred amount = 2,400,000 × $46

transferred amount = $110,400,000

and

As issue of stock dividend changes balances of some accounts not the total stockholder equity

so amount of retained earnings after the transfer will be as

Retained earnings balance = $280,000,000 - $110,400,000

 Retained earnings balance = $169,600,000

so correct option is e. $169.6 million

Increase Subscription Price    $600       $300           $300      $100

The players in the matrix payoff game are Daily Voice and Town Herald.

b) There is no dominant strategy that absolutely favors either Daily Voice or Town Herald in this matrix.  A dominant strategy will exist if one party is always better off under a particular strategy regardless of the strategy the other party chooses.

A vehicle pulls out onto a single-lane highway that has a flow rate of 300 veh/h (Poisson distributed). The driver of the vehicl
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

Pr(N < 4.2) = 0.295

Explanation:

given data

flow rate q =  300 veh/h

reaction time = 2.5 s

oncoming vehicle to stop = 1.7 s

solution

we know here that ongoing  vehicle head way between successive vehicles is here greater than (1.5 + 2.5) = 4.2 second

so that driver pulling out will not be in an accident

and if head way is less than 4.2 seconds then driver pulling out will be  accident

here q is 300 vehicles/hour,

then λ= 0.0833 vehicles/second

than probability will be

Pr(N < 4.2) = 1 - e^{- \lambda t}  ................ 1

put here value

Pr(N < 4.2) = 1 - e^{-0.08333*4.2}

Pr(N < 4.2) = 0.295

Digby's product manager is considering lowering the price of the Daft product by $2.50 and wants to know what the impact will be
Dvinal [7]

Answer:

D.  34.00%

Explanation:

The computation of the new contribution margin is shown below:

As we know that

Contribution Margin = Net Sales Revenue - Variable Expenses

where,

Net sales revenue is

= 604 units × $32.5

= $19,630

The variable expense = Total material cost + total labor cost

Total Material Cost = 604 units × $14.36 = $8,673.44

Total Labor Cost = 604 units × $7.09 = $4,282.36

So, the variable expense is

= $8,673.44 + $4,282.36

= $12,955.8

Now

Contribution margin = $19,630 - $12,955.8 = $6,674.2

And,

Contribution margin ratio = Contribution margin ÷ net sales

So,  Contribution margin = $6,674.2 ÷ $19,630

= 34.00%
