Answer:

B Practicing mastery in schools is now possible through technology, and necessary to foster academic and mental growth in students.

Explanation:

Sal Khan's speech<em> (Let's Teach Mastery-Not Test Scores) </em>tackles on the issue  about what most students face when it comes to the traditional way of teaching that relies on test scores. For him, practicing a concept over and over again is important before moving to the next concept or topic. This is called <u><em>"mastery."</em></u> It may sound impractical if this will be done to every student as teachers say the teaching will be more personalized.

However, <em>Khan argued that with the tools and technology of these days, it becomes easier to practice mastery in school. </em>This is an essential step that will allow the students to grow not only academically, but also mentally. This will allow them to focus on their potentials and believe that they can get there. It will allow<u> fast-paced progress</u> with the world's civilizations.

So, this explains the answer.

Which descriptive details from the text best help the reader visualize the specific early Victorian tea set that is the central
iogann1982 [59]
I believe you are referring to this text:

<span>In the eighteenth century Josiah Wedgwood had made some of the most expensive stoneware ceramics – in jasper and basalt – in Britain, but this tea set shows that by the 1840s, when Wedgwood produced it, the company was aiming at a much wider market. This is quite clearly mid-range pottery, simple earthenware of a sort that many quite modest British households were then able to afford. But the owners of this particular set must have had serious social aspirations, because all three pieces have been decorated with a drape of lacy hallmarked silver.

From the text, the descriptive detail that best aids the reader to visualize the central topic which is a specific early Victorian tea set is "</span><span>some of the most expensive stoneware</span>".

Which of the following describe a “working thesis statement”? i. a changeable focus for your research ii. a statement that makes
LekaFEV [45]
Hey MatloccerSha,

I would have to say that the answer is answer choice 2, because 1 and 3 simply don't cut it when defining a thesis statement. For the first choice, a thesis statement and research for it should be most often focused on one topic. For the third choice, a thesis is used all throughout the process of creating of an essay. A proper thesis statement should do a good job of summarizing what your essay is about. Hope this helped.

Read the following excerpt from Jackie Robinson’s letter to President Eisenhower.
Digiron [165]

Answer:

The historic event Jackie Robinson is referring to is:

Option C: Governor Faubus’s calling of the Arkansas National Guard to prevent nine African American students from entering Little Rock Central High School, despite the US Supreme Court’s ruling against segregation

Explanation:

The 'Brown vs. Board of Education' made a rule that public schools would be integrated and there would be no segregation made between the whites and blacks in the school. In case it is done, it would be against law. But the governor of 'Arkansas', Governor Faubus, was against this law and he stopped nine African American students to enter Little Rock Central High School.

Jackie Robinson wrote a letter to President Eisenhower urging that he should take quick action and protect the rights of those nine African American students. President's intervention was important in preventing their rights.
