Answer:

The correct answer and sentence arrangement are:

The ___antigen presenting cells______ encounters and processes the antigen.  (d)

With the antigen, the antigen presenting cell migrates to the nearest _____lymph node_______. (e)

The antigen presenting cell displays the antigen to the ___T-lymphocytes____. (b)

The T cells initiate the ____immune response____ if the antigens are viral proteins or abnormal antigens.  (c)

Infected or malignant cells are then ___destroyed____ before they can do further harm to the body.  (a)

Explanation:

Immune response are the steps the body's immune system takes to counteract the effect of a foreign body, and it is broadly divided into; innate and adaptive immunity. Innate immune responses are those that occur naturally example mucous membrane, skin etc, while adaptive immune responses occur after exposure to antibodies or any foreign body.

Adaptive immunity is further divided into humoral and cell-mediated immune response.

The sentence described here is a pathway of cell-mediated immune response, beginning with the Antigen Presenting Cells (APCs), also called accessory cells. The chief APCs include the macrophages dendritic cells and the B-cells. They process antigens and present them to T-cells in the lymph nodes. This presentation is enhanced by Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC), and specialized signalling molecules on the surface of APCs and T-cells. After presentation, the T-helper of T-cytotoxic cells begin the cascades of immune responses on the antigen, hence malignant (cancerous) cells or infected cells are destroyed.

1 - The antigen presenting cell encounters and processes the antigen.

2 - With the antigen, the antigen presenting cell migrates to the nearest lymph node.

3 -  The antigen presenting cell displays the antigen to the T cells.

4 - The T cells initiate the immune response if the antigens are viral proteins or abnormal antigens.

5 - Infected or malignant cells are then destroyed before they can do further harm to the body.
