Answer:

I was a lead in a project related to quality enhancement in a socks industry.

I , along with my team members went through the following steps to solve the lack of productivity in that plant;

  • A thorough visit to the plant to make notes of what machine and processes are being used to carry out the processes.
  • Labor management and outsourcing facilities were taken into account.
  • We made some technology enhancements which were a big hit.
  • Labor management was streamlined for better productivity.
  • The mapping of the different steps of sock making process was redesigned to save time and increase efficiency.
  • 0.8% increase in productivity was achieved after implementing the above changes.
