It is also  advisable that you know the French language because  most of the books that you read in English carry Latin and  French phrases and words. There is no use reading a page  or paragraph of a book or even a sentence without  understanding it-This statement encourage readers to study both Latin and French

Explanation:

In the statement stated in the above question the author insist on the fact that a person/individual who is reading an English book needs to have good  knowledge not only about English language but they should also have knowledge about both Latin and french language because in English books we come across many words that are derived from Latin language or the french language .

Which sentence in this excerpt from James Joyce's "Araby" indicates that the bazaar is a place devoted to avarice, or greed?
inn [45]

Answer:

Before a curtain, over which the words Café Chantant were written in coloured lamps, two men were counting money on a salver.

Explanation:

This sentence illustrates the avarice present in the bazaar. It seems that this place was not meant to sell things for good profits but for greed to be sensed.  Two men were counting some money on a tray , which gives the idea that it was not a lot. Yet, the two men could have felt some pleasure in counting the money from a tray while being at the café.

Which sentence best describes an aesthetic impact?
goldenfox [79]

Aesthetics is refers in a very simple way as the theory of beauty, it is used in arta, in this case, literature. It makes a lot of different questions related to beauty and similar concepts. What makes things beautiful? Which elements contribute to it's beauty and how? You can see that this is a concept that is very difficult to address as philosophers continue debating towards it's elements and characteristics. In this case we are talking of an aesthetic impact, feeling in a powerful way, the beauty of a text. I think the best answer therefore is: D) The way the plot comes full circle is meant to make the reader fell satisfied.

Some of the characteristics of art that we most enjoy are the symmetry and harmony, literature is not the exception, we feel pleaced when this is achieved in a story or a poem. By having a plot that comes full circle this is accomplished, giving the sensation to the reader that he had a round experience, in which nothing was left aside closing the circle.
