1. Damper Flatbread: an iconic Australian unleavened bread made from wheat flour, and can be tied to stockmen who traversed the wilds caring for livestock, outfitted with only the most basic rations (typically, flour, sugar and tea).

2. Focaccia French bread- uses more leavening, causing the dough to rise significantly higher.

3. Indian bread- a flat oven-baked Italian bread product similar in style and texture to pizza dough.

4. Sourdough- made by the fermentation of dough using naturally occurring lactobacilli and yeast. Sourdough bread has a more sour taste and better inherent keeping qualities than breads made with baker's yeast, due to the lactic acid produced by the lactobacilli.

Maggie's Plant Experiment In this exercise you will read the following scenario and identify the parts of the scientific method
ANTONII [103]

Answer:

Please find the identified steps of the scientific method below

Explanation:

A scientific method is a series of steps that aims at solving a problem. The steps in a scientific method include:

1. Making observation: In this experiment, Maggie observed when she read that some plants grow better if the soil is acidic. This is her observation that led to the scientific question: Do plants grow better in an acidic soil?

2. Formulating hypothesis: Hypothesis is a testable explanation to a problem. In this experiment, Maggie's hypothesis is; IF acid is added to the soil, THEN plants will grow better

3. Test hypothesis: the hypothesis is tested by conducting an experiment. In this case, Maggie places two geranium plants of the same size in two pots. Then she added a tablespoon of vinegar to one of the pots and allows the other grow normally without acid. The independent variable in this experiment is the vinegar added while the dependent variable is the height of the plants. The plant group with the vinegar is the experimental group while the plant group without vinegar is the control group. The constants of this experiment are same sunlight, same amount of water, same location etc.

4. Analyse data: The growth of the control and experimental plants were measured every week for five weeks by measuring their heights. The height (cm) of the plants with vinegar for the five weeks as as follows: 10.0, 12.4, 14.8, 18.0, 21.4 while the height in cm for the plants without vinegar for the five weeks is as follows: 10.0, 11.5, 13.0, 15.7, 17.8.

5. Conclusion: Based on the result, the plants exposed to vinegar grew better each week except week 1, which is the week they started. Hence, the hypothesis of this experiment will be ACCEPTED because the experiment proves it.

Which of the following is the correct path a neural impulse will follow through the different layers of the retina? a. Rods and
Phoenix [80]

Answer:a. Rods and cones, bipolar cells, ganglion cells, optic nerve

Explanation:

The bipolar cells are present in between the rod and cone and ganglion cells.

The function of bipolar cells is to transmit signals from the photoreceptors (rod and cones cells) to the ganglion cells. The signals are then transferred to the brain via optic nerves where visual image is created.

Cell bodies of sensory neurons may be located in ganglia lying outside the central nervous system. Cell bodies of sensory neuron
AlekseyPX

Answer:

True

Explanation:

Sensory neurons are the neurons present in the nerves which can convert the external stimuli into an electrical signal and can transmit the signals from the organs to the central nervous system.

The structure of sensory neuron in pseudounipolar that is at one end it has dendrites and another end transmits the signals to the CNS. The cell bodies  (nucleus) of these sensory neurons are located in the structures called ganglia located outside the CNS.

Thus, True is the correct answer.
